Custom needle felted pet portraits
Your pet, in wool.
Made from one photo.
Hi, I'm Emily. I sculpt one-of-a-kind portraits of pets out of raw wool, poked into place a thousand tiny times by hand. Send me a photo or two — I'll send back a little piece of them you can keep forever.

Portraits & pricing
Real 3D
The eyes are made with resin, and the nose and mouth from polymer clay — the piece stands right out of the frame.
2D with raised details
The eyes, nose and mouth are all made with wool, gently raised off the surface. Soft and painterly up close.
Shipping is quoted separately — I post worldwide. Turnaround is 1–2 months.
How it works
From your photo to their little face
Send me some good photos
Choose one as the main reference. A couple more from different angles helps me get the coat and the eyes colours right.
We agree the details
Size, framing, background, timing. I'll confirm a price and a slot, then take a 50% deposit to hold it.
I felt them
Layer by layer, in real wool, matching colours as I go. You'll get progress photos along the way.
They come home
Final photos for your approval, then packed carefully and posted — anywhere in the world.
What photos to send me
The more reference photos you provide, the more accurately I can recreate your pet. Phone photos are absolutely fine.

About me
I've been poking wool for years and still can't stop
It started with one scruffy terrier and a beginner's kit. Somewhere between the fifth and five-hundredth hour I realised what I actually love isn't the wool — it's the moment someone opens the box and goes quiet, because it's them.
I work slowly and only take a handful of commissions at a time, so every portrait gets the fussing it deserves — the exact rust in a coat, the one ear that never sits right, the grey coming in around the muzzle.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, come say hello.
Questions people ask me
One main reference photo, left and right side shots, and something that shows their true fur colour — there's a full photo guide further down the page. Two or three from different angles is ideal — and honestly, blurry phone photos are usually fine. If your pet has passed away, whatever you have is enough; I'll work gently with it.
Usually 1–2 months from the day we confirm details, depending on how many are on the table. If you need it for a specific date, tell me early and I'll say honestly whether I can make it.
Prices start at $250 CAD plus shipping for a 5×5 framed 2D portrait, up to $500 CAD plus shipping for a real 3D piece — the full list is in the Portraits & pricing section above. Shipping is quoted separately based on where you are.
Yes — pairs and small groups are some of my favourite commissions. It takes a bit longer and costs a bit more, but they look lovely together.
Keep it out of direct sun and away from damp, and give it the occasional gentle dust with a soft brush. No washing. It'll happily last decades.
